§ 70-1. Legislative findings.

Latest version.
  • Many miles of beach lie within the corporate boundaries of the Village of Old Field. These beaches are, for the most part, not extensive in width between the upland and the low water mark and have been in the past subject to extensive erosion. These beaches are composed of sand and small stones loosely packed together and form an aggregate which is too loose for the proper support of a motor vehicle. The operation of motor vehicles along these beaches will aid in their erosion, create unsightly and damaging ruts and endanger the peace and safety of the residents of the village.
